parkplace's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I Miss You Listening To: Soco Ameretto Lime by Brand New Mid-terms. Just finished Bio. It was so much easier than I expected it to be. I have about two hours to kill before my Geometry mid-term. I haven't studied for it so I planned to study for it in these two hours. I feel like I miss a lot of things. I miss my Mom, I miss my girlfriend, I miss being happy. But what I miss the most out of everything is my room. When I went back to my house two or three days ago, I went up to my room on the third floor. It was still daylight-about 3 O'clock in the afternoon- but no light could seep through the plywood the covered my three windows. I had to use a flashlight to see my room. My breath froze over everytime I exhaled and it crossed the path of the light beaming from the flashlight. It was about 20 degrees outside. I was shivering in my room. All my stuff that was in my bureau and my nighttable was laying in piles on the floor. All my books were in a pile in a corner of my room. My wall clock is still intact. Debris still covered my once biege carpet; glass, piant, pieces of my wall, splinters of wood. I look around and I noticed how tiny my room was. And once I thought about it, I realized that this room that I loved so much once is fading away from me. When I lived in my room, it was a perfect fit- it wasn't too big or too small. But when I returned to my room after the fire, the ceilings hung low and the walls seem to be running into eachother. My room is like that glass of water- half empty. The one place in which I once sought comfort is now defensless, bleak, and cold. I can't look out of my windows, they are bordered up and bolted. I remember looking through the broken glass of my windows the morning of the fire and trying to memorize my view of the ocean so I could remember it.
