parkplace's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So Long Sweet Summer Listening To: Farewell by Hundred Hands It's 2:30 in the morning. I can't sleep. So, i'm on the computer and I checked out the entries I have written one year ago. It is so good just to sit back and see how much I have learned and how much I have lived during one year. So many events have occured during the past year: my house burning down, my aunt dying, my uncle dying, my dog dying, my good friend dying, and my mom almost dying. And I've told everyone I'm gay. I have learned so much this past year and all these events that have occured have made me realize that I have so many good things in my life at the moment. I just feel so thankful, I feel so thankful for all the expierences I have had and all the people in my life that I have been affected by. Looking back at myself, I see this kid; this blindfolded human, stumbling forward in life and today I can see so clearly now. I can finally look around, see the people around me, see the events I have expierianced and I can finally say that I am now able to scream at the top of my lungs "I like who I am! I really like who I have become!" I have been waiting for that for so long. Only 2 more days of summer until Swampscott High School opens it's doors to welcome us Juniors. This has been one great, emotional, and vivacious summer. I really could not have asked for anything more. 2:36 a.m. - 08-30-04 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
